Summary:In Timbavati in Africa lived a boy named Bertie.Bertie lived on a farm with his mom and dad who hunts to protect his cattle.Bertie never had any friends only his family and the cattle and everyday Bertie would climb the tree and look for the lion.Then one day he saw the lion with a cub the cub was playing with the lion.When he climbed down and said to his dad the lion has a cub then the dad went and he shot the lion.The next time he saw the cub it was not with he lion then he went to his dad and said where is the lion I had to shoot the lion then Bertie said we have to take the cub in and so they did and when the cub got older they had to sell it and they sold it to a guy in France who worked in the circus then a few years later Bertie went to the army and got an award for saving to people well he was still wounded.When he got back he went to the hospital for a couple of months then he got out the hospital and went to go visit France to see if the lion is still alive and his friend went with him.
